Today we went to Rochester to see one of my brother's bands play at a baseball game. (That means free tickets. Good seats, too, behind home plate.) During the fourth or fifth inning a bat slipped out of a player's hand and hit somebody in about the third row. Medics checked her out, and she seemed fine, but to be sure they took her out for more observation at the end of the game. This is a shot of her after the ninth (it was a great 2-1 win) on a stretcher. She was moving and making jokes as they wheeled her away, so don't think i'm macabre or anything . . .
